This first episode is the official version as it is on record.
Ep 16: The Voices of the Past, Present and Future
In this bonus episode, we discuss new developments that have occurred with key figures involved in the case. We talk with Dr. Eddie Blackwelder, a Criminology Researcher who spent time in Lonoke researching Heath's case, as well as former Lonoke City Chief of Police, Charles Peckat, who recently visited Heath after 25 years. We'll find out what his thoughts are on things today. We also talk with Kaleem Nazeem, a former inmate who served time with Heath, about his advocacy and the under 21 bill, his experience being incarcerated for almost 30 years and what life has been like after being released.
Support Act 539
Act 539 offers a pathway to reconsider sentencing for those who were under 21 at the time of their crime, recognizing the impact of youth and external influence on decision-making. By signing this petition, you can help bring Heath’s case to the attention of lawmakers and support a review of his sentence under Act 539.
